Dating By Erin Lane / July 20, 2017 If you love movies and romance, you’ll love these flirty one liners from some of the most popular movies. Sometimes we lack the words we want to say to our significant other, so let Hollywood do the work for you. Here are 5 sweet lines from movies for you to use on your honey. If you hope to get steamy with the guy, then I highly recommend the Language of Desire course, by Meet Your Sweet. It provides powerful lines to make your new guy want you. Click here to watch a video about it! “And maybe it’ll be enough if you know that in the few hours we have together we loved a lifetime’s worth.” -Terminator (1984) When you think of romantic movies, Terminator is probably not on your list. But don’t judge it too quickly. From this science fiction action film, we get a sweet and heartfelt line from the iconic Sarah Conner. While on the run from a cyborg assassin sent from the future to murder her, Sarah falls for her protector, the soldier from the future, Kyle Reese. Though they don’t spend much time together, Sarah and Kyle share a profound bond, which prompts Sarah to say this line. “You’re the first boy I ever kissed, Jake, and I want you to be the last.” -Sweet Home Alabama (2002) In this romantic comedy, the main characters, Melanie and Jake, are one another’s first kiss but drift apart as adults, even though they’re married. Melanie goes to great lengths to deny her past, including her life with Jake, but in the end, she realizes that the things she’s been chasing all her life have been right in front of her from the beginning. This line is less passionate than other lines but more long standing. It’s one thing to want to be with someone right in the moment; it’s another to want to be with someone for every moment from here on out. This line says just that. “Love is too weak a word for what I feel — I luuurve you, you know, I loave you, I luff you, two F’s.” -Annie Hall (1977) In this romantic comedy, Alvy falls for the eponymous, Annie Hall, but things don’t work out. The film tells the story of their misguided love affair, and while they don’t end up together, their passionate love gives us the above line. Love is about needing someone more than conventional language can express, so this line expresses that sort of passion. “But for now, let me say — without hope or agenda, just because it’s Christmas and at Christmas you tell the truth — to me, you are perfect.” -Love Actually (2003) This line is perfect for a declaration of love. Nobody’s perfect, but when you’re in love, flaws seem to melt away. This Christmas-themed romantic comedy follows the stories of ten separate pairs and groups as they navigate love and attachment. Mark and Juliet’s story is one of unrequited love. Mark is in love with Juliet, but Juliet is married to Mark’s best friend Peter. On Christmas, Mark decides to confess his love, giving us this sweet and somewhat sappy line. “I think I’d miss you even if we’d never met.” The Wedding Date (2005) Fake relationships provide ample fuel for romantic comedies. This is so in the The Wedding Date, when a woman, Kat, hires an escort, Nick, to make her ex-fiancé jealous at her sister’s wedding but ends up falling for him. Luckily for her, he falls just as hard, giving us this heartfelt line. Sometimes we know that our lives would be lacking if not for knowing one particular person. This line expresses that sort of existential need for someone in just a few words. If you hope to get steamy with the guy, then I highly recommend the Language of Desire course, by Meet Your Sweet.
