fat blasting smoothieNot only is the banana a convenient snack, but this fruit also has several properties that are all beneficial to your health.  To begin with, the fruit contains little calories (e.g., an 8″ banana contains only 105 Cal), enabling you to consume plenty of it without worrying that you might gain weight.  But the fruit does contain high amounts of insoluble fiber, thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, folate, and vitamin B-6, enabling it to boost your metabolism and help you with digestion when consumed.  Oatmeal contains insoluble fiber and little calories, too, enabling it to boost your metabolism, help you with digestion, and avoid gaining weight as well.

The rest of the ingredients are beneficial to your health, too.  Like both the banana and oatmeal, skim milk, honey, yogurt, and flaxseeds contain little calories.  When consumed, skim milk can give you the amount of calcium your body needs daily.  Studies have proven that the body needs to maintain the level of calcium within in order to avoid storing excess calories or fat.  Honey can stop you from craving sugar and help with repairing your body as well as burning the fat within.  Yogurt can help you lose weight by way of the probiotics it contains.  Probiotics are live organisms that are safe to consume and that can aid digestion and thereby promote weight loss.  Flaxseeds can curb your food cravings by way of the alpha linolenic acid they contain.  The presence of this plant-based omega-3 fatty acid in your body can make you feel full, enabling you to eat less than usual without feeling deprived.

Given the above fat blasting banana-oatmeal smoothie recipe, we hope you’ll be able to enjoy the fruit and the breakfast food item in a way that will be more beneficial to your health than just helping you start a day right.
